Why some threads get randomly deleted?

I saw that sometimes new threads get deleted for (i think) no reason. A recent example was my thread about what would you do with 1.000.000$... is this a bug, or those threads are against the rules?

Very short discussions are often considered like offering no value and are deleted. Besides, "what would you do with 1 million $" looks like a poll type discussion and they are forbidden here.
