Telepathy: Help or Hindrance

What if the human race were able to see what everyone else was thinking: humans were telepathic. Would that help the world's problems or make them worse?
You would know what your enemy was thinking.
You would know if your partner was cheating
BUT! the downside, you could NEVER have SECRETS!
