I dont normally post about walks but maybe because I dont go on them during the winter. Today, before work just an hour or two ago, I took my sisters dog on a walk at a nearby park. My Fitbit counted the miles and it was 1.5 miles. So not a huge walk but got to get the dog out and do a little exercising in the mean time! I am going to try to do this a few days a week in addition to the gym if its over 40 degrees outside. We also have a little coat for Lily, the dog so shw doesnt get too cold. Do you take your dog out for walks during the winter?

I have no animals, but I also don't walk during the winter. I tend to walk more in the fall than anything else. I need to get back into walking though. I used to go on a walk through the neighborhood that took me about 1.5 miles.

Nice. I am trying to get back into it also. I wont walk when uits too cold either even though you get a little warmed up when youre moving. Summer its hard too because its so hot. Lol. Best of luck to you!

@maezee I try to walk in the early morning hours when I do walk. I check to see when the sun will rise and head out about five minutes before it's supposed to peak. Then I start walking thirty minutes before it sets. Cooler parts of the day.

40 degrees would be too cold for me to take a walk unless I had to go to town and my vehicle was in the shop or something like that where walking would be a necessity. 1.5 miles is a good distance for a walk. I like to go at least 2 miles when I walk usually. Your photo is so pretty of the sunset but it is sideways.

Ah I guess it is what you are used to. After months and months of 10-20 or below zero weather....40 feels like a heat wave. And yes for some reason it came up sideways and cant fix it.

@maezee If you can download the befunky app you can upload the photo resave it and when you upload it here then it won't be sideways anymore.

@shaggin I havent heard of that! Thanks. I also know that if I take a photo sideways I think that will do the trick as well. Ill try it out next time!

I need to be careful walking in the winter. I seem to slip and fall as soon as there's ice.

Oh yes. That is true. There were a few patches of ice to watch out for here on our trail. Kind of have to watch your step!

I dont usually take my dog for a walk . But for me walk is the best exersice. Thirty minutes of walk daily keeps you fit and hit.
