Picnic in the Front Yard

It almost seems like summer is here. It's 55 F today and people are out walking and enjoying the warmth.
I wore a light jacket to church this morning and carried it home. When I sat down here I saw the scene outside my window. A couple is grilling. The grill is to the right of the window. I wasn't going to invade their privacy by taking a picture of them grilling and talking outside. I hear them and if I were to open my window I would smell the wonderful aroma of whatever they are grilling.
It almost seems to early for a picnic and grilling out. It's February in the Northern Hemisphere when normally this time of year we are in winter gear and the ground has at least a foot of snow on it. Not this year.
Now it's grilling season. Is spring really here? What are people doing where you live?

Yes it's gorgeous.. but as we just had a big winter storm, there's still a lot of snow on the ground!
We went to the zoo today and I saw people wearing shorts and t-shirts.. I thought it was a bit too cold for that!

Our storm hits today through Saturday afternoon. It should be interesting to see how much snow we get.

Is was almost 60 here today. I can't believe how nice it has been the past two days but how slowly the snow is melting. I guess that is probably good though so it won't flood. My late husband used to grill outside even when it was snowing in winter. He would go out with his coat and hat :-)

We never grilled in winter. It's interesting he used to do that. It has been warm and the snow is completely melted except for a few snow mounds still around. We have a winter storm coming our way later today through Saturday afternoon, so we'll have snow once again.

That usually keeps people from grilling. It's been beautiful weather here. Winter returns today.

Spring is not officially here and of course, you know that. But, with the lack of wintery weather, we are just hoping things remain beautiful here.

I hope they do for you. Winter comes back today for a short stay. Storm coming in later today through Saturday. Snowfall totals are up in the air. They keep changing. The most I've seen is 10.3, the least 3, so we'll see how much we get when all is said and done.

Here people grill year round even though we have spells of cold weather, but we really have only had a couple of days where there was freezing temps which is this section of Florida is unusual as there are more. this has been the warmest winter ever, even today we had a record high of 79

I hope for your sake then it stays away. We're getting winter today through Saturday afternoon. I don't think they know how much snow we're going to get as it's been all over the board with pinpoint predictor. We'll see when it's all said and done. What I'm not going to like are the wind chills that will also occur with this system.

Nobody is grilling here yet unless they have a deck. Those people grill all winter long. I can't wait until til grilling season arrives though. I love cooking and eating outside.

I have no idea but I live in Canada and we have not had winter yet. Will it arrive? Probably. But we can hope it has missed us this year. Two inches for December January the February is unheard of... Very strange weather.

@just4him I find this strange weather scary especially because our new Pres. thinks Global warming is a folk lore and he is now dumping garbage in rivers. We could soon be back to the 60's and 70's with pollution everywhere..

It reappears today through Saturday afternoon with snowfall totals varying between 3 and 10 inches.
