Back to Driving the Van

My son did make it over yesterday to look at my car. He assumes it is the water pump that's gone out. The problem now is the time it will take to take parts off the engine to actually get to the water pump to find out for sure. I really wish I just had the money to take it to a mechanic!! I didn't even know if the van would start, but it started right up. I had a little money in paypal so went and put gas in it. Now I'm praying that rod doesn't go completely out on it. I will sure try my best to not go anywhere that's not necessary. However, of course, my mother has a doctor appointment this afternoon. Sigh..... Tomorrow is Bible study and then followed by ladies lunch and games at church. Doesn't look like I will be babysitting for my daughter on Thursday's anymore to earn that money. I really can't chance the van on the highway to get to her house. I was good this morning and got one of my drawstring backpacks up for sale in my etsy shop. I need to keep it up until all I have made is listed. They sure won't sell sitting here in a bag and not listed. How is your week starting out?

I hope the van will be able to get you to your obligations. The week started nicely, I am looking forward for my zumba class again today!

I tried zumba once when we were doing health classes at work. I couldn't keep up...and my body doesn't have those kind of moves.

@besweet I had tap dance classes when I was a child...don't think they count. I also took aerobics in junior high.

@marsha32 I have noticed that every instructor is different. I was having salsa lessons in the past so some of the steps are familiar to me. It could be harder for some people if they don't have dancing background. Have you had dancing classes in the past? My body doesn't move uniformly either, I have flexible hips but my upper body is very rigid so zumba helps me coordinate those two.

My day has been pretty good, cars and vehicles are so expensive and it is dangerous to go around if you fear problems. I wish good luck.

I found out that UBER is really inexpensive. I could have called and UBER for a ride to church for like half the price it would have even cost me just to get in to a taxi. No wonder the taxi companies are hating UBER.

@LadyDuck I'm hearing it's the same in England. I can see why now. One guy at our church started driving for UBER when he lived in a big city. He's moved back here now and still doing it but it's not caught on too much in our town.

@marsha32 I know the taxi companies are hating UBER, they are fighting in the street right now in Italy. The taxi companies do not want UBER.

It started out okay although my grandson has had a four day weekend. But he has been relatively quiet with no upsets. I hope you get the vehicle thing straightened out soon.

I love driving my van...other than the amount of gas it uses. Praying it doesn't go completely out as then it will cost about $2000 minimum to fix.

Glad your son came over and looked at car hopefully he will be able to come over again and find out for sure if it is the water pump or not and fix it for you. In the meantime I hope your van behaves for you til you can get the car fixed.I hope you get all your bags listed soon and are able to sell them all real fast.

I have lots of other things to finish and list for sale too...with their was 2 of me...one to sew and work on crafts and the other to be on the computer. I do both at the same time of course, but when I do that neither gets much done.

Other than I don't have cash on hand much, I'm thinking it's cheaper to take UBER over owning a vehicle.

@TiarasOceanView I was told it would have only cost hubby $35 to get to work which is in a town over an hour from here....and that it would have only been like $3 to go from my house to our church. You can't even get in a taxi for $3 let alone go anywhere.

If it's not one thing, it's something else. Actually there is a whole list of things with the house that need repaired too that's not getting done.

That's why i was scared for hubby to take it to work out of town. He drove 125 miles round trip for work and whew! it's still going.
