Why Do Parents Not Minding Tipping At A Hotel While Find It Difficult To Pay Tuition Fee

I have come across this many times. Many parents like to spend money very casually for all other things but when it comes to paying for their children fee they tend to calculate. Why do they do so? What is it that makes them spend at shopping malls, movies and such other outings freely while cribbing to pay and bargaining for the education of their own children. Especially because a good education leads to a good future for the child. Why do they play with their child's future. Friends please share your views on this topic as I would want to know if it is a worldwide phenomena. Thanking you in advance

Some think it not as a wise investment as they are not sure that their children will have a bright future after giving them tuition. That parent should keep trying on for their children's better future is what these parents have to be made conscious.

@aninditasen Happy to hear the feedback. But here it is not what you have stated above what I am trying to say that those who have decided to have tuition for their children for their better future. But they want to best things at the cheapest prices with a discount. Regarding those parents who do not want to provide that facility to children they are free to have their choice. But once they have decided they should also be ready to pay the fees and not ask discounts when it comes to child education. And some lots or monies at other places.

As a parent I don't play with my children's future. For me, their education is important. We are spending lion share of our income for their education at present. I really don't know how many parents ignore their kid's education and spend for movies and other things.

@Sreekala Feel good to hear your thoughts on this issue as a parent which is the right way. But there are many who crib to pay 50 to 100 rupees more. And the joke is they are not poor as both the parents are working and do not have time for the children to teach. These people do not seem to value the people who are doing the job of teaching their children. There are many who also ask for a discount as they have three children. That is how it is. Thanks for the share.

As a parent, I spend a good proportion of my spare income on my children's hobbies. Education is important. For my eldest, it is paramount. We'd like him to go to Oxford (which is one of the most prestigious universities in the world). I think the phenomena you are talking about is not necessarily down to thinking more of trivialities or of playing with the child's future, but that the frivolous activities are just that, and they don't (individually) cost that much. Whereas, tuition fees are something which are going to cost a lot and parents need to be certain that it is spent wisely. It's also much easier for most to spend money on shopping or dinners out than to pay the high fees for education. As I said, I'd love for my son to go to a top university but just because we can afford the odd takeaway or shopping trip doesn't necessarily follow that we will be able to send him to an expensive university.
