Cold Weather is Not Good for a Butterfly

So tired of this crazy weather. One day it is sunny and quite warm and the next day it is frigid and frosty. We are expecting another snow storm on Tuesday with accumulations up to 12 inches.
Woke this morning feeling quite warm under the blankets and didn't want to get up. When I did toss the blankets aside I quickly realized that we had run out of fuel during the night.
I have a pot of water on the stovetop and the oven going to help warm it up in here a little bit. Also have the space heater running and I am sitting in front of it wrapped in the warmth of a blanket. Tried to get the hubby to get his butt out of bed and fetch some fuel, but he is not moving.
March is a funky month when it comes to weather patterns. You never know what will happen. Unfortunately, Old Man Winter isn't ready to release the Northeast from his grip just yet.
My wings are stiff from the cold weather. This has been a bad year for my arthritis. I am not one to take meds readily for pain so I muddle along and hope that Mother Nature will get with the program soon.
The sun is shining now, but it was the big goose egg when I woke at 7. Hoping it will warm up soon.

@LadyDuck I am so looking forward to warmer temperatures. Although we will have to deal with mud season, I am okay with it as long as it is warm.

@ElusiveButterfly I have checked, it should be cold in the morning, but not too bad in the mid hours of the day.

Yeah, we're being threatened with more cold and snow... I don't like it, either. As the song says, "Little Jack Frost, get lost, get lost."

@JudyEv I can't wait to retire. Keep reminding my husband that this is going to happen in a few years. I don't believe he thinks I will truly do it!

We're freezing here too. I am not willing to unleash my plush blanket and venture into the cold! I think we are expecting snow this week to and I am just so done with cold already!
Hopefully we shall see the beautiful weather soon, I have been daydreaming about swimming!

@miesse2 I am sitting in front of a space heater with a blanket covering me. My hands are cold and it is not easy to type. Woke the hubby about 10 minutes ago. He apparently went back to sleep.

We've had about the same weather and we are expecting the same storm. I am not looking forward to it and i hope we don't get as much as their saying. Stay warm and hope your hubby got fuel for you guys by now.

He did finally get up and fetch some fuel. Said he didn't feel well so he tried to sleep in. Well, he was cozy and warm and I froze. LOL.

@ElusiveButterfly well sorry you had to freeze but hope it got warmer as the day went on. We have snow storm coming starting tonight into wed up to a foot of snow. I'm already planning taking tomorrow and wed off work as i'm not feeling well anyways. Just attempting to go in today and try to make it a half day.

I have to wake the sleeping bear. I know he is going to growl, but I let him sleep for 3 more hours than I did. I am not comfortable.

Yes that is unusual for your area. I would be happy with 30's right now. It has been in the single digits here and only in the lower to mid 20's during the daytime.

Brrrrr it's pretty darn chilly here too but I'm grateful that my house is warm. We're supposed to get that storm on Tuesday too and it's a sure sign that March is not going out quietly.

Stella is still hovering over us. It is still snowing. We have almost 2 feet of snow. Not liking it at all.

It is 50 degrees this morning, quite cold for Florida and will only go up to the high 60s. Colder weather the next two days.

It was the big fat goose egg at 7:00 this morning. The temperature is slowly rising, but it isn't supposed to get too much warmer today.
