The Day that we eloped.Sort of

Good morning,as I am stuck in the house with the storm out there.
I was reading@AbbyGreenhill about eloping when she got married.
This brought to mine.Mike and I.
We talk about getting marry and then went out to get our wedding band.
Joyce our friend is a Justice of Peace.Mike and I did not tell anyone even our family.Joyce invited us down for dinner.A lovely dinner and then the ceremony.
Her boyfriend was a stand up for us.
It was lovely and never felt so good.The wonderful thing that happen.
We had waited so long for this.Glad that I was still alive to see this.
We kept the quiet for some time.Finally the announcement was said
Every one was so surprised.Some were so happy and some not.
We had a month of celebrating our wedding from so many people and our family.
This was the happiest day yes of our life.
We been together over forty five years.Married for three.Yes,I am glad to be alive to see this wonderful day.Thank you.

That is a real commitment but you obviously were committed since you have been together so long. I am glad you were able to make it official.

Thanks for this - you two belong together and it is great that it all worked out for the best. When we eloped not everyone in his family was thrilled but that's too bad.

@AbbyGreenhill same here.Mike brothers were not thrilled.He has not seen them for years.The rest are fine.
