The storm is over and it wasn't near as bad as it was in some areas

After midnight it changed over to rain. We ended up with 15 cm (6 inches) of snow and 15mm (.5 inches) of rain. The winds were crazy though. The strongest we've had in some time. Lots of traffic lights and power poles down this morning. Signs everywhere that blew off or away from businesses.
The drive to work this morning was a slushy mess. There was a lot of flooded roads in areas. The main roads were not too bad but the side roads were not so good. Our road hadn't even been plowed yet. So it was tricky going down the big hill by home.
All it all it wasn't as bad as it could have been and I am glad that it is over. Now if we could just get some sun and warm temps to get rid of this mess!!

@Happy2BeMe I opted to stay home. My hubby would have needed to plow before I could get to the road. This made it a very easy decision. I'll visit my father tomorrow.

Hope the snow stops soon! They are calling for another snow storm here on Sunday. I hope they are wrong. I've had enough. Be careful out there.

Lucky you... our storm is hovering over us and doesn't seem to want to go away anytime soon. Some areas still have a travel ban.

It does look like quite a mess there.
I hope that the winds die down so that they can get the fallen lights back up and then hopefully, hopefully Mother Nature will take some pity on us and sprinkle some warmer spring weather on us!

Mother Nature certainly has given us a headache with the storms we got yesterday. Roads here are still treacherous and my daughter had to come home and didn't make it to work. We could use some sun and warmer temps to melt the icy roads

I would not know how to drive in that, unless I treated it like slick mud, that I know how to drive in, little gas feed and no brakes.

It just mad a slush. This morning was messy driving because the plows hadn't done most of the roads yet but it should be better driving on my way home from work.
