I prefer to use herbs, spices and other natural ways to take care of my issues. But you do have to be careful with natural methods thou. For instance regular sage and rosemary are good towards my symptoms of Fibromyalgia, but they are not good at all for my high blood pressure. There is another form of sage that will not harm high blood pressure. So you do need to research natural methods. Plus you can be allergic to some of them and different methods of using them. Like if you use such as peppermint (just for example) essential oil on your skin and you break out, but you have drank the tea many times and never had a problem.Research and experiment.
