MY FAVORITE CHILDHOOD DRINK

As a child, my favorite hot beverage was ovaltine. That drink tasted heavenly - and it still does. The problem is that I don't see it around anymore. If I could I would happily substitute ovaltine for any of the hot beverages I currently consume - including coffee.
What was your favorite hot drink when you were a child?

Hot chocolate, yummy! But now I would avoid them as I'm sure they contained a lot of sugar.

@Kandae11 Hopefully, I could find some with healthy ingredients. I'm sure they might have them in a health food store.

Kool-Aid because I was cool like that and where do you think the saying came from, must have been drinking the Kool-Aid again.

I much preferred hot chocolate. Ovaltine is still available here. One drink I hated and that was Horlicks.

I love ovaltine too. It's available in the market but there are no commercials on tv for the past years.Milo taste better though

@Kandae11 That's true the taste seem to change, Maybe they change the formulation. I prefer it over milo when I was a kid too but now milo improves and taste better now

Mine was malted milk by olvaltine. There was also a granulated eggnog made by the olvaltine company. I liked that too.

I used to get what was called Rasberry Steamers from my Aunt and Uncle's Espresso stand basically it was Hot Chocalate with Rasberry syrup with Whipcream is was delicious!

@Kandae11 It really is during alot of my childhood i would spend days with my mom, or my aunt or uncle at there espresso and i would have those drinks one everyday.

I loved Ovaltine! When I was little, it sponsored a a radio show called Captain Midnight. I even got a Captain Midnight Ovaltine mug and decoder ring. I wish I still had it.
