Camping At Last

My missus and I are ensconced in our campsite, in our own camper. We thought we'd be staying in one of the primitive cabins here, but the dealer finished work on our camper today so we were able to pick it up and bring it down. Luckily, we were able to change our reservation at the last minute from a cabin to a camper site.
All is not 100% with our camper as we'd hoped it would be. The Ground Fault Control Interrupt, the new one the dealer installed in November, is still not working correctly. While we still have lights, heat, a/c, refrigeration, etc..., none of the power outlets in the camper are working. My missus is much more upset about it than I am.
I am taking a philosophical view. There is always something or other to challenge you when you go camping. While we cannot use the outlets, there is still a charging station in the camper we can use to charge our phones, tablets, and laptops. The only thing we cannot do is watch TV of make coffee with the Keurig. Not big complaints when you're camping. Not in my book.
I'm just glad to be camping again, away from home and school, and near the beach. We will be taking the dogs to the beach tomorrow. Dogs are only allowed on the beach until March 31, then they are banned until October.
What are your plans for this weekend? Will you be getting away from it all for a while?

@DWDavis We love Wilmington. Our daughter and family lived there before they moved to Charleston.

We have found another car boot sale for tomorrow so while we have everything loaded in the car and trailer we'll try to get rid of a bit more stuff. We are going camping on Wednesday for three nights then spending a fourth night at another place on the way home. At the second stop, we're also attending a play.

3 more weeks until our big vacation to DC and Myrtle Beach. I can't wait! We'll be staying in hotels the whole time as I think April might be a bit too chilly for camping. We don't have a camper, we tent camp.

I'm glad you got your camper back even if its not 100% fixed but at least you are able to get away and have fun. Its still too cold here to do much outside but at least its warmed up enough to melt the snow

Oh that's good that you have your camper back! I'm sorry that it's not perfect though. If you can still enjoy camping in it that's what is important. =)
Enjoy your weekend!

We have bears, but not likely to be seen at this campground. When I grew up here, this campground was in the boonies. Now it is right in the middle of the suburban sprawl, with strip malls all around and a housing development behind it.

You are so lucky to be able to go camping. We won't be able to go until at least May here. I am anxiously waiting for camping season to come around. Enjoy your weekend.

Ah, I envy you! I love being in the outdoors. My weekend involves housework, writing, and trying not to miss North Carolina in spring too much. Have a wonderful time!
