The remote control of my TV must have something wrong. The batteries are dead after a short while and only lately I have not gone beserk thinking that the new TV will have to be thrown away. Today I ended up changing again the batteries. Now the TV (Netflix really) is waiting for me. I had dinner and mylotted a bit. Now it´s a good night. See you.

May be there is something that stays on all the time and this consumes the batteries. Like the wi-fi in the smartphones.

@LadyDuck I am not good at knowing what is on or off if there isn´t a light.

Some batteries seem to last no time at all.

@JudyEv Those were rechargeables. I will have to recharge them. Still they die at some time.

@marguicha We buy rechargeables now. They are more expensive but we are able to recharge them over and over.

Batteries either last forever in a remote or die out quickly. I am surprised that ours doesn't need to be replaced more often. My husband keeps it in his hand and is constantly flipping channels. LOL. Frustrating.

I know the remote control flipping men do. My husband did the same.

If the batteries are dying fast like they are it could be the kind of batteries you are using in it. I hope you enjoy your netflix time.

@marguicha Right maybe it is just using them in your remote have you tried them in something else? Sometimes they can work in one thing and not another.
