When you see someone posting that they hit payout or earnt $XYZ a day do you believe them? What if it's all fake news? What if their hubby is in the tax office and all they really want to do is find out how much you made? I keep quiet about my earnings here and won't tell you, not even if you pay me Would you tell a stranger when you are walking down the street about how much your last wage packet was?

This is something I prefer to keep quiet. I talked about past earnings, but now how much I make is a private matter. I think that earnings must be considered "milestone posts" and deleted.

It was the case long ago. I think that myLot keeps these posts as good for its publicity. I don't earn a lot here (I reach the payout during the last days of the month) and I do not care about telling what I earn. I would not tell it if I was earning a lot in order to not make others feel jealous.

@LadyDuck Yes I think it should be priivate too and I also thought that those posts were 'milestones' but as @topffer says they used to be but now they are good publicity. I'm sure those who are not seeing their bank add up quickly must be disappointd and even give up so I'm not sure that it is so good to leave them all up - assuming the amounts are correct and not just false claims.

@topffer I know that this a tricky matter. If you say that you earn a lot, the others will be jealous, so it's better to keep things quiet.

I thought you looked familiar and now I recognize where I know you from. You thought you could hide by taking off your toupe, but you just outed yourself with your "fake news" accusations, Mr. Trump.

I never made a post about my earnings, but I do not care to tell how I earn online : less than $100 last year. I would not give the amount of my wages to a stranger, but I live in a country where any stranger can go to my tax center to check the amount of any of my taxes...

Yes our taxes are public here but then, being as I am writing from Italy, not everyone declares everything here so many of those tax figures are false

@topffer Not the same anywhere I think. It took me a long while to understand the mentality here but I got there in the end. If the taxes paid are then used for the wrong things then why pay them in the first place? I know where 'when in Rome do as the Romans do' comes from'

@mysdianait I had fun when an Italian from Calabria told me that he had problems with our taxes, adding that in Italia nobody was forced to pay taxes. Not the same here.

I agree with you 200000 percent! I think there is too much emphasis on money all of a sudden. You can't talk money and then say you're here for the fun...A few weeks ago I posted that I hit $1 the day before...that's as far as it goes for me talking money. It is funny that people post abut how much they make here and everyone oh's and ah's....I don't comment on those posts.

They used to fall under the 'milestone' posts but that no longer seems to apply Hardly topics that we can discuss (in the real sense of the word) either I agree about those who post their earnings but are not here for the money

@AbbyGreenhill @mysdianait If you are here for the money, then you seriously need to get a job (says the stay-at-home mom), because you are never going to make enough here to make it worthwhile.

No not ever. What is mine is mine. Have never told anyone except my Mom and I left that Wage Packet on top of the Television in the Back Room every Friday. Whereas my Brothers would always bewail their three times paid more than me Wage Packet to leave any kind of money for the House. Never tell anyone what money you could have in the house either. More than one friend got robbed of their whole savings because they thought that their best friends would not do or say anything.

I think everyone, or almost everyone, makes a post about their first payout. It is those who post almost like a diary with daily earnings, and goals and suchlike that have me puzzled and I wonder whether they are really positive for some of the users who are struggling here. After a while there is also little to discuss as we just keep repeating the same thing over and over again in the responses too.

I agree. The positive impact of it, will be almost every one will be curious on how did you do it? How a person could manage to get more than the 5 minimum when most could hardly get the minimum at the end of the month. But some will be discourage on staying here. Almost all of us say that we like it here. The friends we made, the chats, the interesting discussion we share and comments but things are getting superficial when you post a fake news just to get an attention and more likes to add on the earnings. (PS I'm not saying that every earning post were fakes.)

Hahaha! Well... since I am currently in a good, non-suspicious mood, I wouldn't assume that someone is making up their post about making this much $$$ in one day. And I would also not be shy about telling you how very little I earned here in myLot for instance, in the past 5 days. Because, you know... my earning is very, very tiny. Perhaps if I earned a lot, I will not be too hasty about sharing it. But I would expect the tax office will not go after me after finding out I earned a measly 6 cents yesterday, 2 cents the day before that, and 3 cents the day before that! Again, if I make a lot more than that, I probably will not be too eager to share the numbers. Which somehow makes me think, you probably earn a lot. Good for you.

I personally don't care if it is true or not. The point is, it is life. Things happened. The wheel's turning. It is your choice what to make of it. I probably will cheer them on, and tell myself, see, someone earn something. There's still hope for this world.

that is true. there could be some sort-of bluff here, when one says he earned much in a month, so the tendency of the other would be to stick it out to this person who 'earned much'. as for me, i put a mark on a discussion if a dollar is added in my bank.

I never tell my wage packet to anyone. Even my closest ones also don't know it. They can guess though. If anybody asks me, I just answer, 'Whatever I earn I can take care of me and my family. If necessary, I will ask you'. However, in myLot I don't think that is serious. Because $5 or $10 does not make any difference, and I believe those posts with their payout! I don't understand why people will lie?
