Thursday is Usually Daughter Day

Thursday is usually the day I spend with my two daughters (my youngest who lives with me and my oldest who lives a short distance away). It used to be just my oldest daughter and I before my youngest moved in with me. Now it's like the three amigos and I always look forward to Thursdays.
Today both daughters decided they wanted to go shopping to the Christmas Tree Shop but it's almost an hours drive to get there. I wasn't really in the mood for the long ride, the shopping and the return trip so they went without me. I didn't mind being left home and they need some sister bonding time.
I'll be more than happy to see what bargains they find and what they come home with.
This gives me a little free time for myself which I've already decided wasn't going to include any household chores.
I can't believe that we only have one more day left for March and then we're heading into April which should bring some spring weather with it.
It's a semi sunny day today but more rain heading our way for tonight and all day tomorrow.

I hope they have a good shopping trip. I don't blame you for just wanting to stay home and not having to travel an hour there and an hour back. That is tiring. Enjoy your time at home. I am sure they will have lots to tell you and show you when they get back. Things are good here. The sun is out but it is still quite cold but warmer days are ahead.

Thunder and rain started last night at midnight, it's still doing the same this morning. Another gloomy day. Can't wait for the sunshine and warm weather.

I hope that you are enjoying a bit of peace and quiet on your own today.
I've had a busy day......I ran into town this morning to do the last of the laundry before we move tomorrow.
Then came home to wipe down a couple of last kitchen cupboards that I hadn't done earlier this week, then I packed my car down, and then vacuumed and mopped.
Tomorrow I will vacuum our bedroom before we leave and pack up and bring our coffee maker, which we'll desperately need in the morning. My husband should be home any minute now and then we're going to the lawyers to sign some papers. Ahhhh, we're almost thru it!

I made it easily this month, but I have spent the time here instead of other places.
I am gonna just do small repairs around here, try to mow grass and stuff like that. BUT if I do it I do if not, oh well, tomorrow I have to go in to work as the landlady

How fun to have a day like that with your daughters! I can understand not going for the long ride but it'll be nice to enjoy time together when they return. We would love a little more rain out here . . . it's sort of spring/summer here.

I appreciate my time alone as it doesn't happen often. I'm not complaining as I do love having people in the house and I'd probably hate living alone

I've had another busy day preparing for things in my life to amp up a little bit. I'm planning to finish my book tonight and then start another one tomorrow, so I'll have a new book to read while waiting for my ride home from the grocery store!

@Marilynda1225 I just began a new book today. Get this. It has almost 700 pages! It's called "The Passage" and while I've read just over 100 pages, I'm still not sure what it's about. And nothing on the jacket really says much. My librarian chose this one for me and it's the largest book in the bag, so I thought I'd give it a try and see if it's worth my time. It's so heavy! I have to sit it on a pillow in order to read it! lol

I have passed payout long since so I am not thinking about that and it feels so cold to me coming from Florida but I hope I get used to it soon. I always enjoy a trip to the Christmas Tree Shop.
