What a day! :(

Just in! Only a few hours ago we came to know about one of our elderly neighbours passing away. And now? Now I heard one of my neighbours committed suicide by jumping in front of an approaching train. The lady and her family were being threatened by the people who loaned them money. Mom and Dad are jumping from one house to other trying to be with both families at once. I won't be going. I rarely ever interact with neighbours. Doesn't stop me from feeling sad and sort of strange listening / knowing about the suicide specifically. This is the second suicide in our neighbourhood. There had been one attempt but was saved in time. (Photo by Pixabay)

That's what youngsters of today I notice shy away from keeping in contact with the neighbours. I am seeing it here. My neighbour's daughter is on FB with me but I never see her in person. She stays right in front of our gate (lol)

Do you consider her attitude good or bad?

@allknowing Yes, you are very right. These kinds of people forget that real life social interaction is more important than online activities. She may have hundreds of friends on FB, but if she does not have a real life friend, it serves no purpose for her.

@dpk262006 I never 'like' her activity as long as she does not interact in the real world.

@Daljinder When we get up in the morning, we never know what "possibly" can happen.

Yikes. It's never easy hearing about people we know passing away, especially if it's completely unexpected. Very sad news.

@Daljinder Yes, some people can hide it well. I wish things could have been resolved for her rather than her taking such drastic action.

@much2say Yeah I didn't imagine HER doing something like that. She was a jovial lady. You never know what's happening inside a person's head from their smiles. Looks can be deceiving.

Wow, how sad, especially for the one who thought life was so bad, that she felt the only option was to take her own life.

It sure is a waste of talents. I hope that the lenders feel bad about it. They have caused a loss of a life just because of money! If someone really cannot repay the money, the best is to find job for that person, and help him earn a lot of money. Sooner or later, they will face the result of their bad karma.

Desperate people really do things we would try to talk them out of doing if we had a clue what they intended to do. It is nice that your family is there to try to help.
