For those who didn't know already, Windows 10 comes with the Ubuntu Bash shell. I am not familiar at all with any linux products so it was confusing for me. Have you tried it? You can go to this site to learn how to set it up: m.windowscentral.com/how-install-bash-shell-command-line-windows-10

Thank you, I did not even knew that. I use the shell mainly to convert quickly some sounds and videos with ffmpeg, but as a large part of command line utilities have been ported to Windows, it might be handy to have a Linux bash under Windows. The Ubuntu bash is the same than the Debian bash, except that it looks at start in different directories. God knows what Microsoft did here. The only Windows computer that I have actually runs 8.1, and I do not use it once a month.

I didn't know it could do those things, converting sounds and stuff. Seems it might actually be useful to me . It really is scary to think what Microsoft has done there. More people are looking to Linux because of Microsoft's intrusiveness getting way out of hand. Hopefully they don't get too much more involved.

Sounds like a foreign name to me - most likely because I'm just so ancient and still using the no-longer-supported XP on my desktop...
