suggestions to mylot

A mylotter told me a few hours ago, that I may not be able to receive payments from myLot to my PayPal account, because Nigerians can only send, but can't receive payments via PayPal. So, I think it would better if a few other payment methods gets adopted especially bitcoin which does not care what region of the world you come from.what do you think about this?

I don't mind them just using paypal as it works for me You'd have to ask admin if there are any future plans to add more payment options. I suspect that there won't be. PS...whoever told you that you can't be paid is right unfortunately. We've had quite a few members from Nigeria come and go over the years and none could be paid so they left. There are ways around getting paid but you'd need a trusted friend in a country that has a full paypal service.

@AkoPinay I don't exactly know what you mean by that...paypal doesn't have any say in the matter

If there are places where PayPal can't be received, would it not be possible/make sense to contact PayPal about that to change it? Bitcoins could, possibly, be an option but I, for one, have no idea how that works. If it's possible to have a choice, myLot could offer both but I don't know how practical that would be.

bitcoin has some amazing features that PayPal do not. a few of them are * bitcoin is decentralized, which makes it impossible for any government to influence control or decides who receives or does not. * equity and justice: unlike PayPal, which does not grant it's full privileges to Nigeria, bitcoin can be sent or received in any part of the world. * bitcoin value increases over time, because, since it has a limited supply of 21 million coins, as acceptance and demand increases, the price skyrockets. when bitcoin first came into existence, the value of1 bitcoin was only 10 cents but presently 1 bitcoin is worth over $1200. feel free to ask questions.

That is a good suggestion but so far paypal is the only payment option on this site and I think it stays that way until Admin declares otherwise.

@calebest I haven't attained the minimum withdrawal amount yet. however, when I get paid I'd have to buy something online, since I can't withdraw to my Nigerian bank account!

That is a shame. I thought there were some options similar to Mylot. I guess you should ask admin if they are willing to look into it.

someone told me that myLot may not want to include other payment methods for now, but that wouldn't stop me from writing to the admin. However, mike and j j gave me an intelligent idea, and I'm willing to use it.

@AkoPinay they could store it in their wallets, buy something online through purse.io or probably sell the bitcoin and get paid through wire transfers from major exchanges

yeah you're right, but that doesn't mean that there are no bitcoiners in such countries
