I cannot believe I got up at noon today

I don't know what happened and I even got to bed earlier than normal. I am a night owl so I go to bed late but I usually only sleep 6 or 7 hours. When I was a teen, I use to be able to sleep solid and many hours. Now, being older and have many things on my mind, I can be up most of the night as the mind keeps thinking. Do you see any changes in your sleeping pattern?

@minx267 Since I was a young girl I was always a night owl. I painted my whole bedroom when I was about 16 around midnight. I think I am a vampire.

I never take naps in the day, I just stay up forever until my eyes start to close.

That is funny, I never heard that expression before. Sleep like cooking oil.

@ramapo17 cooking oil solidifies when it is cold here, since our cooking oil is in a glass bottle. it solidifies that when we use it, we should place the bottle over the fire to melt the oil.

It is funny what we go through. I do not know how I got up at 2am every morning for a few years. We do what we have to do.

Now that my youngest is sleeping through the night I don't have to get up until 5:30am when he wakes me. Then after taking care of him I go back to sleep until around 8am when my 1 year old wakes me. Not bad now, thank God! I got tired of having no sleep at night.

Kids can make us do things we never did before. I got through those years, thank goodness.

I'm back to being a very early riser, but I still stay up late, so I only get about 4-5 hours of sleep before I'm wide awake and heading to the pool.

No changes yet. I go to bed between nine and ten p.m. - and get up at five or six a.m.

I use to get up at 2am as I started work at 4am and lived an hour away. I still don't know how I did that for so many years as I have always been a night owl.
