Finished reading my first Stephen King book

In previous book posts and comments, I mentioned I was reading Finders Keepers by Stephen King. Well, I just finished the book about two days ago and I thought it was pretty good. Believe it or not, this is the first Stephen King book I read all the way through. I do have plenty of King's other books that were given to me as presents, including Under the Dome. I started reading Under the Dome about a year ago because I was a fan of the TV show and wanted to read the book. I managed to make it to about the 100 page mark before life got in the way and I put the book back on the shelf. But now that I'm finished with Finders Keepers, I think it's time to pick up Under the Dome again. Do you like Stephen King? If so, what's your favorite book?

@dramagirl26 I have also read Finders Keepers first and then I have bought Mr. Mercedes and the third one as soon as it has been published.

@LadyDuck I saw where the third one came out recently and it seems like it'd be good.

@LadyDuck I haven't read Mr. Mercedes yet, but it's going on my list because I want to read more about Bill, Holly, and Jerome.

I do enjoy Stephen King and have been reading his books since the 70s! Under the Dome is a good one, I hope you finish it. Dean Koontz is spookier, at least his earlier books, but those two are my favorite authors.

@dragon54u I plan to start on Under the Dome once I'm finished with some other books. Did you ever watch the show?

@dramagirl26 I did watch the first season. I thought it was a one season show but when the last episode aired and they mentioned season 2 I stopped. I did like the casting and the series was interesting, I just didn't want to invest that much time in a show I knew the ending to.

I love Stephen King's books. The first book I ever read written by him was "Salem's Lot". It is my favorite.

@dramagirl26 the book is much better. If I had seen the movie first I would not have read the book. I thought "It" was good too.

@Courtlynn Finders Keepers is pretty good, and from what I've read so far Under the Dome seems interesting.

His early novels are the best as he has grown tired in recent years with lame endings. I would say It or The Stand are his best.
