Curses Foiled Again!

So, we had plans to go to Shenandoah National Park this weekend to take advantage of the free National Park weekend. However, it is wet, drippy and rainy. It would have been a terrible day there. Tomorrow might be even worse! Did your plans work out for this weekend?

Oh no. Sorry you can't go.. hate when plans are ruined. Especially if its by weather. Cause you cant predict it. Maybe next weekend? Or is the free weekend thing just for this weekend?

@Courtlynn Not really, but it isn't super expensive to go there. I think it is about 20 dollars a car..but not sure, the price keeps going up.

It really is going to suck for the bike riders since this is also Ride the Drive weekend in SNP. Skyline Dr. in the North District is being closed to motorists. Cyclists can ride without having to worry about vehicular traffic.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if most decided to stay home. I am sure it is super foggy up there as the webcam indicates!

It won't as I said, I think tomorrow might be worse..we are in a rainy drippy pattern for the next few days.

My plans are getting ready to go away and I am sitting in bed with coffee and myLot. I wonder why I work so hard to go on a holiday when I enjoy sitting here with my coffee so much any way.
This year Canada has free National Park Passes for the whole year in honour of our 150th birthday!
And our weather here is snowy! Bodes well for heading to the mountains to ski

OH Gosh, I wouldn't even want to ski this time of year, I don't think..time to think about warm things lol.

@snowy22315 Nope not us. We are off to extend winter by 3 weeks. Actually last year it was quite warm. In town people were wearing shorts. We spent a couple of days hiking instead of skiing.
