Have you ever received a weird/strange gift?

At my last job we used to exchange gifts on Christmas. It was a secret Santa exchange. One Christmas I received a torch as a gift. Well I didn't expect to receive a torch and that too for Christmas. I am still wondering why i was gifted the torch. Certain things will always remain unanswered I guess. Has something similar ever happened to you?

That can be bad too. I usually have this problem when i buy things over the internet. Sometimes they are too tight that i have to give them away. But if they are large my mum tries to adjust them for me

You did receive a rather odd gift. My husband gave me this ring for Christmas that was documented as ancient, but that was the ugliest ring I ever saw. I never wore it and it just sits in a jewelry box.

I can totally understand how you feel. I just can't understand what to do with the torch.

I would like to know what this ugly ring looks like. Why did he give you an ugly ring? Was it because of value or history or something else?

@MsBooklover Yes, it was the value and the history. It came with all the historical information. It had carvings on it and it was all brown. Yucky looking to me.

Maybe they were on sale and a flashlight is always useful to have around the house. I can't think of any strange gift I have received.

@Nawsheen Maybe they thought that everyone gives chocolates and they didn't want you to put on any weight? Have you had any need for it so far?

I guess it's suitable for male or female. The giver must have thought it was okay or perhaps they were just gifting on an unwanted present. I can't really remember getting any strange gifts.

I would definitely like to know what the person was thinking when she bought this. Maybe one day i might find it useful. A box of chocolates would have make me happier since it was christmas

Just once I think... I got a thimble from a guy. He was referring to a scene from Peter Pan. The surprise didn`t work. I don`t specially like Peter Pan. But I appreciate someone trying to be original, generally. :)

I received a hummingbird feeder from a man where I walked, and then a TiVo! He wouldn't take them back and we're both brand new. My husband was not very happy about that!
