The internet is down for four local communities. Hubby had purchased a mobile hot spot for me, so I set it up so I can connect with my tablet. I hope no one tries to call my land line as it is with my internet. Using my tablet is better than nothing, but not by much. Oh, and my battery is low. I will be back later, after I get charged.

Oh thats too bad Heather. I used to hate when I had a landline tied to the internet. My cell is the only phone I have now, not a smartphone, just regular. Good at least you have the mobile hotspot.

I really want to have the mobile hot spot when we travel or if I go back to mystery shopping this summer. I have not managed to get active with a smart phone, yet. I am very slow.

@LadyDuck One time the fiber optics came apart and the special team that worked on them had to come in from a great distance after they figured out where and what the problem was.

@GardenGerty At least it was only a minor problem.

They did a good job of getting it back up. I did drive on some errands and saw workers out doing some more.

See if you get connected pretty soon. We have the ordinary landline as we can have no other being here there is no technical service set up as yet for the other.

I do not think I can get a regular landline here. We are back up now, they were very quick about it.

@lovinangelsinstead21 It is a kind of like a serious withdrawal when I do not have it.

@GardenGerty I would not do without a Landline as the rest is very unreliable and much more expensive. Glad to see that you are back though.

A mobile hot spot would solve some issues here! Hate when the Internet is down, but it happens here too @GardenGerty

The weather here has cause a lot of trouble this week. Rural locations are so prone to it. It is handy to have a mobile hot spot, but it can become an ongoing expense. I hope to use mine enough to make it worthwhile, maybe doing some mystery shops or writing and communicating when I am away from home.

@Courtlynn It is good. Now I just need my laptop to work again. When I had an evening residential job I had a mobile hot spot. I eventually wore it out. Now I can no longer get that kind so I have one through Straight Talk. . . hubby got it for my Valentine gift. I am hoping to use my tablet and do some mystery shopping this summer.

I like to be able to be online when we travel, this was a good way to try it out.

Ahh that is frustrating. Skmetimes its nice to be technology free. But not when you need it up and running!
