Many here can relate with this one, as many here have been married or are married. There may be some bad experiences, as not all marriages are meant to last, especially when abusive, and then there are others like mine that do last. Marriage is a Big step and commitment. Not to be taken lightly like so many out there in the world tend to do today. When willing to work together no matter the Good, Bad, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health life brings you closer together if you continue to stay supportive for each other. For my husband and I having a close walk with God has been a Big help as well. Are you married? Tips you feel are worth sharing for people when times may not always be as smooth?

Yes, that is True. No matter how long a couple is married it always a work in process. Never something one day you can quit trying and expect it to last.

Mainly I think we need to learn to accept things and to understand feelings? grow and change. Communication, respect compromise.

@lokisdad Communication is an important one. Many couples do Lack that one and respect and trust when they first get married which often gives them No real chance for survival.

I've been married since college graduation to the same wonderful man. Trust, humor, honesty, and talk all play a huge part in any marriage.

I don't really have any tips. Friends used to say the first seven years were the worst! We're coming up to 46 years married but I know some here have been married much longer.

Well, our first 7 was way over 11 yrs ago now, and I am sure no matter what yr of Marriage, many times there are challenges and you learn something new about the other person all the time. Many just never want to even give it a chance.

Marriage is a two way commitment. Each has to put work into keep it going. Some give more than others, but as long as they stay loyal to each other it works.

Ups and Downs do come. Being supportive in tough times is more important and that too from both the sides. I believe husband and wife should be a team and not the opponents.

Yes, team work in a marriage is very important and especially when trials come the support you have from the other person makes it all worth while.

No, I am not married. I don't know what that feels like and I don't miss it either. If I do have regrets about my old age it's that my health is not as good. One good thing about being single is that there is less conflict.
