~HUMANITY : over all RELIGIONS~

May 4, 2017 1:43am CST
By the blessings of God I have no faith in God (an atheist). I was raised by a human and my own interest on the Humanity. If we introspect ourselves very carefully and ask some questions consciously to our minds we will get the real answer. Why? Here are the reasons briefly---- In my childhood when I was a little child then there was no problem at all. I used to play with other religions guy, go to school with them and even get invitations for their religious fetes. But when I started to grow up ( as a natural phenomenon ) .things were going to change rapidly. I can easily recollect those memories when I was countermanded by my surroundings not to attend those fetes or even to leave those friends' vicinity. Now I have been living in a neighbourhood where all people are dotted with pant, burka, turban, saris etc. according to their cultures. By this way most of us can easily discern their religions by their outfits and cultures. But do these particular method of judging make any sense in our lives? These things only create conflicts and valorise most of the people belonging from the different communities. For example,in most of the cases we can make out easily for a particular fault made by a particular person (whatever it might be a great blow like terrorism or other condemning acts),there is a tenacity among the people to attack such religion from which the particular person is belonging from. Even some of the countries are also showing their penchant to 'banning and dismissing' process.Do the process make any sense to us? The 'banning and dismissing' process might be a temporary remedy. So the need of the hour is to find out a permanent solution to avoid such menaces. In the denouement of the interminable story we can discern it clearly that religion is created by people and it is created for maintaining 'Peace', 'Harmony' and to build 'a Sense of togetherness ' among the populace .Religions teach us 'how to be tolerated and become more humane than Human'. Though there are many religions in the society , 'Humanity' and 'Together in oneness' should be the alpha and omega religion to all of us and by this way we will find out a permanent solution to contravene such conflicts from the society. Caution :If my post hearts anyone’s sentiment I am ready to apologize for this.

I agree with @louievill, religions are not GOD. Men have created the religions and what is sad is that since the beginning of times, the religions have caused wars and hate and killing of innocent people. I do not believe that this is right.

@louievill Anna, plz go with the whole post thoroughly.. I think you might have missed some points that I have mentioned in my article... religion is not God... I agree with it... but the definition of God for me is a little bit different.. I consider those as God who takes Humanity as the first preference instead God or Religious belief...it's my view...yours might have some different...

@ranan1989 I have read that you wrote that religions are created for maintaining peace, but the reality is different. The Catholic Church has killed people, because they obliged those of other religions to embrace Catholicism. This is what I condemn about religions. People should be free, not obliged to follow a specific religion. I believe in God, but I do not follow any religion.

@LadyDuck yes exactly, what have you written here is totally match with my view...Church has killed people due to religious intolerance or religious conflict and here religion is used for the destructive purpuse.. so when there is no religion in our mind then there would not be any conflict in the world.. that's why I have put the article here..and sorry for misjudging you...in my comment I have made a filthy remark about you ... sorry again..

Yeah...I agree with you. This is a nice post.First of all, no religion is higher than Humanity.Religion arises out of fear and humanity arises out of love. Religion is all but a means of division today.Because they are giving more importance to protect their religion first. Humanity had been a single community. No one could predict how much time will it take humanity to lose religion...Lol...According to me "Nature is God and God is you"...That's it.

Yes it is nearly a contradiction precisely, I understand what you say Ranan. It is a fact that tho most religions teach peace and love of all people, they instead serve to divide us, and clarify our differences of faiths, which can cause deep division in humanity. An oxy moron. Any Loving God will not distinguish and will take all of humanity as his children, not just one religion.

@TiarasOceanView yes friend, you are exactly saying the same what I am trying to say. In my writing I am trying to intensify that most of the religions help us to live peacefully but not to be intolerable towards other ones. It's only can be obsoleted if we think out of the box and when Humanity will take the front place in our mind .....

@ranan1989 I love that saying and picture. It is the essence of what humanity should strive to put as number one in our thoughts. Thank you for the great discussion and to the point of spiritual living.

Having lived among diverse cultures I can state categorically that religion does not play a part in deciding whether we are good or bad. The vast majority, I would say 99%, are same whatever religion they believe in. Religion and belief should raise our consciousness but few are dictating our agenda to divide us. Whatever beliefs we have we will remain human with common blood groups etc. We need to find unity in diversity - the oneness of humanity and the uniqueness of each shining our path - siva

@BabyRai1 You are not an atheist... it's ok.. but do you believe in several God in several religions... What is God? and what is religion? at first we have to consider it very clearly. Let consider one thing, when I took birth as a baby is there any religion to me or is there any God for me? my answer is 'no'.There was no religion at all as well as no God for me. But if anyone ask me "have you ever met with God" --- my answer will be 'Yes'. For me God is inculcated in everyone's mind, so we should consider everyone as 'God' by these way we might come to a conclusion and can find out real meaning of life...

I agree ... but mostly because that's what religion tells me to do When you point out the "particular method of judging (discerning people's religions by their outfits,)" I think of the common Christian saying, "Be not unequally yoked." That's from the practice of using a 'yoke' (large wooden bar) to hook a cart to two-or-more animal---and--if one animal was taller than the other(s)--the burden would be unequally carried by them. The preacher used that as a metaphor for 'people who have faith in Christ' sometimes "partnering" with 'people who do not have faith in Christ.' 'Faith in Christ' makes you less nervous about the future ... the fairy-tale is that a Christian "knows they're going to Heaven," but the truth is that 'having faith' relieves you of "worrying about the future" (the same way Jesus 'prayed about His future in the Garden of Gethsemane.')
What does it mean to be unequally yoked? What does it mean that Christians should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers?

forged by a one armed man
@ranan1989 I think you meant 'you can tell what religion they follow by their manner-of-dress.' If they dress that way because of their religion, that is 'the yoke they wear to carry "the burden" of the belief they share with others of their religion.' While I don't believe all the Christian church's beliefs, I wear this cross whenever I go out---'sharing the burden of belief' with all my fellow Christians.

@mythociate friend don't understand the last para properly...and if you think I have made the comment (discerning people by their outfits and culture) is wrong then I am ready to clarify it. but pardon me I don't understand what you have trying to say in the last para.

well said, and much to agree with as a fellow atheist. I think we learn morality through philosophy and situational ethics rather than from religion which ays thou shalt not kill even in the same chapters as involve a great deal of killing

Neither am I religious. I believe religion separates us rather than pulling us together. When you come right down to it each religious believes it is right and rejects those who believe otherwise. Religion pulls us apart rather than uniting us. Without religion we could all come together in harmony.

I like the title of your post. It's declaration is clear and easy to understand. Religion should work for humanity and not the other way around where religious proselytizing and fanaticism have created divisiveness rather than unity, discord in lieu of harmony and conflict instead of peace.

This is a very good post of a person's sentiments or belief in religion. I am a firm believer of God though I do not go to church and attend mass regularly. I have a strong belief in Him. I agree with you that religion is created to maintain peace, harmony and togetherness. So whatever we believe in, nobody could question our belief because each one of us has the right to choose whatever or whichever we are going to follow or believe as our religion.

@ranan1989 yes, that's the problem in our society. Each religion says that they are the ones spreading the true and correct teachings. They are the ones properly and correctly doing what is written in the bible.

@magallon belief does not create any division in the society... the main obstacle is different religions showing their own superiority ...

I agree with you to some extent. But I am not atheist. I have my own religion and I feel proud of it. And loving your own religion is not a fault to me.. But that doesn't mean that to show love and respect to our own religion we should disrespect the same for others. In every religion there are some good deeds and spirituality. To me no religion is bad but the using of religion by some separatists and for the sake of doing politics that is the worst thing in the world. I love my religion and respect other's too...
7 May 17
@ronit91 according to you first You have mentioned here you are not an atheist ... it's ok... and you have your own religion it's also ok... If there is no religion in the world like my childhood days then there might not have any conflicts in our society regarding religion... so be careful about your word (I feel proud of it)...likely this words create a major conflicts to show one's religion as superior to others... you mentioned here "separatists" that always exist in all types of religions.. so why we not become united regardless religion but on the basis of Humanity. In this there might not have any conflicts at all...All religions are good and all religion saying about 'peace' 'harmony' and 'sense of togetherness'but when different religion exist in the world then there must be some conflicts started to grow up... and this way we are going to lose our humanity....
7 May 17
see it ...
@ronit91 it's not about assumption friend .... think about your childhood or take an example of a child ... you would not hard to do for knowing the fact ... I think you will perceive the truth easily...
7 May 17
@ranan1989 If there is no religion then what happened we don't know we just can assume. But the fact is that there is religion with us and it is not bad. No religion tells us to fight with the people of other religion it is for morality and mental spirituality.
