Do you still have a landline phone.A few years ago everyone had them but I read in the Atlanta Journal today that only fifty percent of homes have landline phones. Cell phones have taken over.
We still have our landline and I wouldn't like to be without it. My sisters and I talk for hours. I would hate to see the cost on a cell phone. I don't care to go on the internet or play games on my cell. I mostly have it for emergencies. I know, I'm just a stick in the mud.

today some kids will not know what a land line is or what a long distance call is.
2. some cell phones like perpaid have unlimted talk text, and all most web( slow it down but does not chargemore)
with unlimted calling you talk all you want as long as your cell phone has power.

I think most kids have already forgotten about land lines if they ever knew about them. But some people are like me and like their landline. I wouldn't keep a cell phone if I didn't need it for emergencies. And half the time I forget to charge it.

No landline phone here anymore for a good year now.
It was so outrageous the price too.

Yep, we still have ours. We use our cellphones more but the phone is bundled with the internet so we get a better deal on both.

We only have a landline because it is part of the package that we have with Comcast. It won't save us any money to get rid of it. I find it annoying, we only get solicitation calls on it since all our friends call our cell phones.

We were without one for several years and then had visitors that do not use cell phones. Yes, these people walk amount us!
So, we had a landline put in for emergencies, such as people like this being in our phone when we are not there w/our cell phones @RubyHawk

I fought against getting a cell phone but I had to give in as I needed to get the uber app and that's the only way--I gave up my landline BUT I treat my cell phone as a landline--the only time I take it with me is when I am using uber otherwise it stays home.
By the way I have MetroPCS--you and your sister could talk for hours--NO CHARGE!! only $30 a month

I keep my cell phone in my purse but I only have it there for emergencies. I do have it if I need it but I've never had a need for it yet.We also have our landline in the TV and Computer package so we get a small discount. If I find a need for a cell phone I'll remember PCS.

Yes! We still have it in our house in the Philippines. The internet is connected to the landline. It will not work if one has no landline.

Well most cell phones have free long distance now so you can talk all day to your sisters, but i can't imagine getting rid of our landline, it's the same number my grandparents have had since i can remember so over 30 years i think.

We have not had a Home phone in yrs, and I cannot imagine having to being tied down and having one. We enjoy the Freedom and luxury of not having one. We have unlimited calling with our Cell phones so we can call anyone we want and talk as long as we want without any worries.

@RubyHawk Privacy is nice, but right now I have to constantly have to be called due to having the Health issues since having the surgery, and having the Cell phone means I do not have to be sitting by a phone all the time waiting.

I have a pre paid cell and I have a landline that hubby insists on. I want it gone. We have more trouble with it than we ever do with our cell.
