Maybe most of our mylotter friends here from India know about this topic of mine. I have read this in Facebook and have checked it in Google. This is about the edible spoons that Narayana Peesapaty and Pradnya Keskar invented. These spoons come in different flavors, like sweet, savory , Ginger - Cinnamon and others.. They said these are durable in hot or cold liquids and the good thing is, it could be eaten after you used it. It is like you eat with it and then eat it. According to what I have read, Peesapaty and Keskar took the risk, sold their house just to finance this business and it was all worth it. They are receiving millions of orders every year. The main ingredient of these spoons is called Millet. These spoons are tasty, highly nutritious and have no preservatives. Their very first aim in making this edible spoons is to reduce the people's dependence on plastics and help reduce wastes. They want to help in saving our planet Earth. But this I think is available in India only. Any opinion about this guys?

This is interesting to me. I wonder how durable they are or if they break easily. They are like breads? I guess it's a good invention

I came to know through your post only that there exists edible spoons. It is really a fantastic idea and if possible I would like to buy these kinds of spoons. I have not seen in my city such spoons on shops and have not heard earlier about such spoons. I may add here that idea of softy con originated from the same principle - that to avoid wastage of ice cream containers, they should device something, which could be eaten with the ice cream, hence ice cream/softy cones were invented.

@magallon I think it is a good idea. Perhaps we cannot able to have such creativeness because the politicians are busy into different reasons in our country.

@Shavkat Filipinos are good inventors too. It is only that our government does not give importance to it. So some of our inventors and their inventions are hired or bought by other countries.

Wow, I've never heard about it before... Sounds very interesting. I assume it's not re-usable then...
