Leaky pug

Does anyone here have a pug who has a leaking problem? I know this is VERY gross, but sometimes when my pug is very relaxed, he leaks out of his butt!! Disgusting, right? I have been told that most dogs have to have their butt glands expressed regularly or this happens. Has any other pug owner had this problem?

Take the dog to a vet for them to show you how to express the anal glands. Some dogs also have problems with these glands and have to have them removed. If this continues to be a problem even when you are regularly expressing these glands, talk to your vet about removal.

As a responsible pet owner, I think you should consult your Vet. There might be a simple solution for the problem. Do not just leave it, as I dont think it could be good for your pug's self-esteem. This linked to a problem that some dogs have, a leaky bladder, and it causes great stress for the dogs, especially if they are scolded upon by there owners. PLEASE consult your Vet!
