Cake is all about sweetness, plums, walnuts the works. What is cheese doing there? I read posts here about cheese cake and it just does not seem right Do you make your own cheese cake? Is it sweet?

I make my own for my son-in-law who is gluten intolerant. It's not extremely sweet, but really yummy.

Well, when it's cream cheese, which is what cheese cake is, it's really good. It's not like regular cheese such as cheddar, Jack, or mozzarella. That would be gross. Have you ever had cream cheese before? It's sweet, and my favorite is probably red velvet, chocolate, or raspberry cheesecake.

I have not tasted cream cheese which you now tell me is sweet. Cheese being sweet is news to me

@allknowing Hopefully, you get to try it sometimes. I put pumpkin spice cream cheese on a bagel once, and it was delicious. There are so many flavors, but just the regular is good too.

Cream-cheese is the main ingredient in cheesecake... Most cheesecakes I've tried taste more sweet than cheesy salty to me... I've never tried to make my own cheesecake though...

I hope you can find some cream cheese to try. We use it in many recipes besides cheese cake.

Are you sure? Actually cheese cake is one of the common cakes anyway There are two kinds of cheese cakes. One will be baked and the other doesn't need to have a baking. I like the baked cheese cake much more because the taste is smooth and you can eat more. I made both of them in the past.

Cheese per se is lately introduced in our Indian cuisine. I have embraced many foods from other countries.

@allknowing Then you will need to check with the chefs because they have been using cheese with much relative success to make these delicious cheese cakes.

Cheesecake uses cream cheese and is very rich, makes wonderful dessert counter-balancing the sweetness of fruit. It's more like thick consisency cream than cheese,

Thanks Val. I have been getting comments about cheese cream being the ingredient and no other.
