Good evening. My last post for the weekend. A cleaner planet starts with you. I did not realized that cigarettes butts waste. this is the most littered items. I see this every day.Butts all over the place. We need to protect our planet. No matter how many container you see. Most of them do not used them. They throw the butts out of the car window. Below is information that I found online. Photo is public domaine ________________________________________________________________ According to the Ocean Conservancy, cigarette butt litter accounts for one in every five items collected during cleanups, making it the most prevalent form of litter on earth. There are over 176,000,000 pounds of discarded cigarette butts in the United States each year.Jul 12, 2016

Another proof that there are a lot of "pigs" out there and that they are not all in enclosed pens.

That is disgusting. I do see them all over the ground in the towns, Thankfully the hiking trails are clean as a whistle. Nature lovers don't toss trash.

@amadeo Most hikers are not smokers. Its hard to climb when you can't breathe.

Smokers do not seem to care, when they have finished smoking they throw the butt instead of using the containers. If you ask a smoker, no one will tell you they throw the butts... what do they think that the non smokers do?

See this here too but not that much. Huge fines if you are caught throwing them out of the window.

I especially hate it when the kids are digging around in the sand at the beach or park and we find these stupid butts. How much time and effort does it take to promptly dispose them into the trash?

I throw mine in the trash most never on the ground. I know people hate me for smoking but swear one of the few that do it responsibly for the most part. Sometimes I do get lazy but in my own yard and will go back and clean it up.

It is disgusting but I do see fewer people smoking that I can remember during my university days... and that would include me. That all came to an end when I found out that we were expecting a little one. I'm thinking that it has to be 38 years since I smoked... sounds even disgusting!!

That is so nasty! I am glad I gave them up 12 years ago but I used my ashtray in the car or a butt can.
