Need a Hobby

I woke up yesterday morning feeling like I have no "purpose." I do feel like this from time to time and it will drive me nuts.
I want to be arty/crafty but mostly just copy other peoples ideas.
I want to be a blogger, but have the worlds most boring life. I never have anything to blog about.
I want to be able to create SOMETHING that people go "Wow!" when exposed to it.
I need a hobby. Not just any hobby, but one that I'm really good at.
7 years ago, before my first son was born, I used to love to cross stitch. Often times I'll find myself thinking that I'd like to take up the hobby again, which is easier said than done because I now have TWO small children running around and its never good to have a needle in your hands around a 3 year old.
I'm decent at stitching, but horrible at "finishing" a projet.
The image I've attached is a Weeping Angel from Dr. Who that I stitched and put in a tiny frame for my boss.
OF COURSE, when I cut it it went a little to the side so she's off center in the frame.

You need a hobby? It seems you are always busy doing something now What about the junk journals you make? The paintings you do?

This looks lovely and I wouldn't really have noticed that it was off-centre if you hadn't mentioned it. I hope you find a hobby you can enjoy.

I feel this way from time to time also. I paint no matter who laughs at my work. I write blogs and I do not think I am interesting but some people read them.
I say do what YOU want to do with confidence and to hell with what others think. You will find that by being you, more people will be attracted to what you have to say and do.
I love reading your blogs, especially those walks with your son to school.

Lol I'd never have
the patience to do cross stitch so you've got
me beat already by finishing one!
There plenty of people making good money
by blogging about their kids and the ups and
downs of family life! I can't believe your life
is boring with 2 small kids.
Everyone copies someone elses idea to a
certain extent. That's why sites like Pinterest
exist! You're never going to get good at anything
until you take time to learn and improve then
create your own ideas. My only hobby apart
from sports is photography although I've done
it for years I still borrow other peoples ideas
although I then try to do something different
with them.
