Memorial Day Weekend Plans

Memorial Day weekend is coming up here in the US. Great time to get away for a mini getaway. Would have loved to do that except my hubby works Saturdays, and usually on the last Sunday of the month. Plus, he always works on Memorial Day. That's what you get when you sell cars for a living. Only holidays off are Christmas Day, New Years Day, and Thanksgiving Day. Every other major holiday is work day.
So, I will be spending the Memorial Day weekend alone :( Sure I will see him after work but the actual days will be spend on my own... Sucks big time. Have to figure out what to do, where to go, because I don't want to sit home all day. It will get me down. I do enough of that these days...

@Jdaw1985 It sucks that every Saturday and a lot of Sundays I spend without my husband. Thursday only day he is off all the time unless for some reason he has to come in.

We never travel on holidays like this - we are going away next Tuesday so I hope all the other travelers are back home by then! Enjoy your peace and quiet. I would love to have a day with my husband gone someplace LOL!
I never go anyplace alone, I stopped driving when we moved south.
Car dealerships aren't open on Sundays down here.

Traveling during holidays can be a hassle for sure, so I get why you'd wanna stay away from that. But if people are off weekends and have that holiday off they can have a mini getaway without taking their vacation days.

@lovebuglena When we worked we didn't go away for this weekend....there was always something to do locally,parades and picnics, fireworks.

@lovebuglena no. We are staying in a cabin. Last time we went, we found out they have wifi which is great. The cabin has no tv. This time we are just staying for a day. Last time we stay for a few days.

@JESSY3236 I've stayed in a cabin before. It was nice. I've also camped out. It was a great experience. I love nature and the outdoors, but at the same time I hate bugs/insects lol. They freak me out.
