An offer in chicken thighs at the supermarket.

One of the things I have to buy soon are chicken thighs in quantity. I will make chicken a la provencale for my birthday party.
The chicken thighs are in my list when I go to the farmer´s market. But today, after the Bank, we went to buy some tomato and broccoli for salad and there was a very good offer of chicken thighs. We bought all there was left (minus one I found too big and one Leticia found too red) and now we are cleaning it up so it is ready to freeze and then cook.
With all these problems, I will have to go to the farmers market next week. My party is on Saturday, but I want to have a big part of the food ready on Thursday.
Do you buy more when there are offers in your market?

With the aid of my freezer, I now buy in bulk many things when they are cheap.

We always try to buy in bulk when it will save money in the long run. Pork and beef are generally what i score the best deals on.

I have invited around 30 people including myself. I will cook a little more for everyone. If there is some left, I will use it on Sunday as my aunt is coming from San Fernando and will stay overnight with Juanita and Carlos. I have 2 people who eat different food so I´ll have steamed salmon for them.

The Dockers are threatening a strike here on a national level so I am hoping to get some frozen chicken for the just in case.
Shops where I go are already low on a lot of things but chicken is high on my list too.

I need a lot more than what I usually eat for this Saturday´s party. Fortunatly I have a deep freezer and I took care of eating some of the extras so that i could make room for the thighs.

I buy some food when it is inexpensive, such as some veggies in season (those that freeze well). I also buy meat when I can get it cheaper. It is a lot more expensive where I live.
