Why being so rude?

In my kind of job, I always get foul words from client's who are having a bad day. Some will tell you bad words as if they know what you've been through. Others will ask you sarcastically as if you've done something wrong with them. When all you did was to inform them about this and that.
I thought I'm already done with this thing 5 years ago. And now, it's all coming back to me. Well, this time, I am not the irate agent my co-workers tag me. In short, I change course. Lol.
Anyway, rudeness will never get us something. If you think you don't like the offer, then simply just say, you are not interested and hang up.

I agree. The person on the other end of the phone is just doing their job. I am never rude to anybody that calls. I simply say no thank you or I am not interested and hang up.

Are you talking about tlemarketers? People who call your phone to try to sell you something? I'm sorry but I consider that just as bad as kicking in the door of my house and invading my property. I feel sorry for telemarketers so I have softened a little and now just hang up on them most of the time. I used to yell at them. I tried the job for about a week but felt so bad about interrupting people at dinner, making little old people walk all the way to the phone just to find a seller on the phone, and one elderly person even fell and broke their hip trying to get to the phone to answer my call. (that was before cell phones and wireless phones, of course!)
I'm sorry you have to suffer the abuse.

@JustBhem I am now. In my younger days I'm sorry to say that I wasn't so understanding. I actually called someone back a couple years ago and apologized to them. We had a nice conversation and I hope it made her day better.

I also experienced this one time. I apologized for the words I've said to them. I know that there are just doing their job.

Some people want to take it out on innocent people.
However -
I know I've been upset when I get calls not within reasonable time or woke me up and I will say what is on my mind.

It's good I'm not kind of costumer, being rude, when someone calls my phone I always talk nice with them though I decline with their offer.
