myLot Post Idea #2 - Do A Review

Not wanting to wait another six months or six years before I write another post, here is my myLot Post Idea #2 post - do a review.
Not an exam review silly but an actual review. It could be a product review, a website review, a book review, a restaurant/food review, a movie review or an album review. Your review would be better if you are writing for a specific niche. I'm bearded so the last thing I would write about are razors and shavers. I could do a highly reliable and believable review on beard oil, beard wax, beard balm, or beard comb though. Back in the day, I did album reviews as well. Of course of bands that I don't mind listening to.
I've seen reviews that go along the route of 'Seen, Read, Heard' (movies/tv series watched, books read, and songs/albums listened to) and another one of 'Seen, Read, Eaten (last part is a food/restaurant/bar review... shout out to all the food bloggers there) and both types of reviews work well as it covers a lot of ground.
Anyway, if you are looking for an idea to write about, a review is a good one to start. A product review would go along the lines of 'Why I use ...?' while a website review would have 'Why I visit _______.com?'. Movie and book reviews may contain spoilers or a short synopsis while food/restaurant reviews would have your reason/s why you'd eat that meal/eat there again.
You get the drift.

@allen0187 even reviewing my students, i do not do that. i would tell them to review by themselves because i might answer the question for them. hahahaha!

I have always done product reviews - if I find something that really works I like to share that info. I don't do many travel reviews on here since I write for a travel blog.

I like this idea as well.
I may have a lot of things I can write about this way.
I've tried doing some for movies and tv shows. The downside is... well, a response is a response, I guess. But it can be a bummer if you excitedly posted about a tv show you followed, you wanted to find others who also watch the show so you can discuss the episode, but then the only responses you get are from people who don't watch the show. 
I guess I should still keep at it even if that's all I get. Who knows, maybe one day, someone who does watch the show will come across my posts.

You really can't choose who responds to your posts so I guess, getting responses from people who don't watch the show really happens. I know it is disappointing to some degree. It has happened to me as well but that didn't stop me from posting about it. Regardless if I post every six months or so.

Are you taking about writing reviews here? I don't think they go over that we'll other than the ones that do.
I may do a review of a teen book one day but I'd have to read it again first. In fact I should do that as I got a copy free with the idea that I'd write one on my blog.

This is always a good go to, ESPECIALLY if you are in a bit of a block or scratching your head about what to write about. I do think posts like that also contribute to having something for a site like this to have a bit of organic traffic. My "what I had for breakfast post" won't bring in much outside traffic. But what I thought of a particular movie, song, or book might. And that helps us all.
