Tornado

I got the tablet PC around 3 this afternoon and was in the middle of getting it figured out and had to call the cable technical support because it wouldn't connect to the wi-fi. Right after I got that taken care of the beep alert went off on my phone - tornado warning.
I turned on the TV to find out it was coming hard in the next few minutes. I unplugged the computer and went into my kitchen, safest place besides the bathroom and called my kids to make certain they were safe. My oldest called back and was on his way to my apartment. Considering he has a trailer, that was wise.
When he got here he said there had been two touchdowns in the area. When the time expired I turned the TV back on to find the major storm had passed us and we are still in a thunderstorm watch. It's still raining and will be for quite a while.
So there was a bit of excitement. I'm still trying to figure out my new tablet. I tried the old tablet and still had trouble with it, but at least it was connected to the Internet. So maybe I have two I can use. We'll see. I still don't trust the other one.

scary to have tornadoes so close - my day involved trying to get a cat to like me - failing miserably

@arthurchappell Yes it did. I think the tornado warning went off three times before it hit the area.

@just4him pretty much, and you end up exhausted a lot,I keep wanting to nap, but am afriad it will mess with what little sleep I am getting at night, maybe I need to just let myself sleep whenever atm so I am at least getting some

@Jessicalynnt I usually take a morning nap after I get back from the pool. It just gives me enough to get through the rest of the day.

@1hopefulman Warm, the clouds are packing in so it looks like it might storm again sometime today. It's expected. When I saw the weather earlier this week we were in for a full week of storms. Just wasn't expecting the tornado.

@Courtlynn I tried leaving a comment last night about the storm that was just about over, but my new tablet would not post the comment. Today it's nice and from my window it doesn't look like a storm happened last night.

Well, it's been tornado free so that's a plus. We are still just tying up loose ends on the bath renovation. One last big job, but not a hard one is painting the linen closet

Sounds like a good plan, but the tablet is going back. I can't do anything I was hoping I could with it.
