Doing Their Job

Has someone lost their mind? Trump hates the media and spills about the "false media". Now Mrs. Cosby(who must be quite a woman) is going off on the media because they are telling the story as they know it. Doing their jobs. The media is doing it's job. When it has no one to interview on a given situation then what do they do? They research the situation and bring to us, the public, what they have found. Now if Trump would be gracious and talk to the media then a lot of what shows up on the screen, on twitter, etc. wouldn't. Sensationalism comes from the expanding on the truth and what they find. And, it is our job, the publics, to find the station, site or personality that they believe in. On Yahoo today she tore into the D.A., the judge and media saying:"Blatantly vicious entities that continually disseminated intentional omissions of truths for the primary purpose of greedily selling sensationalism at the expense of a human life.” This is the first time I have heard anything on the subject come out of her mouth. I wonder what she would have said if the jurors voted against him. Was she not aware of the other 50 women who say he assaulted them as well? I know they have been married for about 5 decades but how can a woman really be that dumb. I mean she is an author and a producer and has always seemed like a very intelligent woman. What would we have if we didn't have the media? Confusion? Untruthes? Misinformation? Frustration? Etc.

I agree. I also think that when the news doesn't go with our particular way of thinking they get upset. And Trump has a problem with the media because they don't let him off and they report the stupid stuff he does and is in denial about most of it.

Sometimes you want to believe the best in people I guess and that can blind you to the truth. I personally believe in reading everything before forming an opinion. I don't stick to one news station because then you're getting biased information, I think you need to look at it from every angle before forming an opinion.

@celticeagle That's good. I just kind of watch a bit of everything. I hate anything that's biased.

@sissy15 ......I watch one that I trust. I don't care for biased either and I like the one I listen to because it is not biased and it tells us whats going on and then we can decide. I like that.

I watch one particular channel because I get the news I like and feel it is the least unbiased. They tell what others are saying too and then let us decide. I like that as well.

The old saying holds true. "You can't handle the truth." Some people do not like to see their favorite people pulled down by the press for exposing their sins.

I totally agree that the press have a right to print the news, but they are supposed to report it, not create it. Sadly there is a lot of misinformation out there. Its hard to trust anything that's printed today. The news is often twisted or reported out of context.

And that comes back to what I said once before. It is our job as consumers of the news to pick the station, site or whatever that gives us what we feel are good news. I watch one particular channel because they don't distort or make up news. They report what other news factions have said that is 'fake' or unreal too and let us decide what we think which I like.

Being part of the media over the years, we (and the people here sharing news are part of the media is some form also) have to report what has been said. We don't say if it is fact or fiction, just that someone said this happened.

the media is a necessary evil, sometimes more unbiased than other times, nice to be able to watch things though, that they provide, so we can make our own opinions, esp most of these things we'd never see otherwise.

Considering that she only went into the courtroom once or twice, I'm very surprised she had so much to say publicly. For most of the trial, her absence seemed to say that she thought he was guilty and that she didn't want to have anything to do with him.
