A CAT Scan Tomorrow

I've rested today. I did iron a few shirts and blouses and neaten the apartment and that's the only useful things I've accomplished today. I had a nice long nap this afternoon while it was raining. I saw my doctor yesterday and since my sinus infection is no better than when I saw him last I must have a cat scan tomorrow.
He has no idea why my infection hasn't improved after I've had steroids, antibiotics, and a medicated sinus spray. He said I might not have an infection. It might be something else. So I'm a little worried. I don't know what else it could be. Anyway, after he sees the scan we'll know what the problem is. I'm not terribly worried but something like this always makes me a little anxious.

@RubyHawk I used thyme leaves and steeped them like a tea and drank that and it improved my allergy and sinus issues a lot.

That is horrible. Today is June 15th so is your cat scan next week or was it yesterday? Sinus infections are horrible and not knowing is even worse. Our weather here is all off and I got this cough and it did not seem to go away and so I have to try an new inhaler. I have tried so many sprays and inhalers but without all I have to take I would feel worse. I also have an air purifier that after I settle down helps. I am sorry you are going through this Ruby.

This article was written last year and I had the scan and nothing was wrong other than stuffed sinuses. They gave me meds which only made it worse so I'm still dealing with it. Inhaler didn't help either. Your problem sounds about like mine.

@crazyhorseladycx The scan was normal. No tumorsor anything like that. They can't help. My sinusitis will have to heal naturely.

I know how you feel since I did not want to tell my doctor that I could travel outside of the Lake Charles market to have a check up for colon cancer. He understood that my chances of getting colon cancer are slim.

@Deepizzaguy Some days it's better. I'm learning to live with it. My doctor tells me it will eventually clear up.

I had a friend with similar issues, and it turned out that she had a fungal infection in her sinuses. She did have them cleaned out. She is one that sometimes has insurance, other times not, so she got it checked when she had some insurance plus an insurance settlement. It really helped her to get it taken care of.

I understand why you are a little anxious, I also have a mild sinus problem and yet I find it bothersome, but taking lots of water, apple cider vinegar with honey and staying away from polluted places have been helping me manage it. I pray you get better soon.

That's good that you've found a solution. I tried everything before I went to my doctor then finally gave up and went to him. Since his medication didn't work I'm about to give up on doctors. I shouldn't even think that because many of us wouldn't be alive without doctors.
