Since I am having a bad day with swollen gum, I couldn't any food that is tough, fried or spicy. Hence, I decided to cook a pot of porridge for lunch. My son will be back from school soon. He can have lunch with me then. This is super easy to prepare. Here is the summarize tips: Wash brown rice and fill in sufficient water into the pot. Minced some chicken, chop some potatoes and carrots. Toss all of them into the pot with slices of ginger. Tilt the pot cover at 90 degree, don't close the pot because the porridge water will overflow. Cook under low fire for 20 minutes. Season with light soy sauce and a bit of salt. Taste super while it is hot. Once cold, it taste like oatmeal. Do you like porridge?
