My rant against TWC/Spectrum

Mylotters, we've discussed about TWC/Spectrum in the past, and just recently how to get a discount from our own cable service provider. Well, I'm going to blow off some much vented-out steam on my official complaint I've lodged at TWC/Spectrum recently, concerning my email issues on my now-working computer. First off, for almost a year, I've been having issue with one email address from my 3 online writing lists lately. For the Fiction and Nonfiction critique lists, 75% of the time it goes through to my side delayed by hours and sometimes by a few days. 25% of the time it goes through fine on the same day, just like it did recently. But for my Novels-L crit list, it's been a headache when it doesn't go through 90% of the time, due to a undeliverable/bouncing message that the list admin had to let me know via email. That's something i don't know how to stop or fix, since I've gotten an email from her a week ago. on the issue. Back in January, I've gotten 4-6 crits on my story for feedback, and now I get 1-2, if it does go through sporadically. Only 10% of the time it goes through, even with that message. (I've been a member of the Internet Writing Workshop for a little over a decade andnever happed an email issue, up until last fall.) And yes, I've spoken to TWC about this many time via live chat with CSRs (about a dozen) and via phone calls to talk to tech support (about a half-dozen) with various responses on the problem. I've even been directed to contact the postmaster a few times to fix the problem too. From checking your spam folder and blocked sender list in the beginning and to have a screen share a couple of times to fix the problem, I first through it might've stemmed from my water spill in September. It wasn't the case here. Back in January, when I was first learned about this issue with the list admin, I did a two-hour phone call with someone from Apple and someone higher up from TWC before the merger. TWC said they don't block third-party emails, when Apple told me to forward them the emails. I never heard back from Apple at all. I've been told numerous stuff from TWC recently this spring, that it might've had to do with my late mother's email account, which has been closed out 3 years ago after she moved. And I had everything under my name for my own account. Then they've mentioned the TWC email account that I rarely used, unless my email bounces to try to use another email address. I haven't had that issue since last spring. I've been using the same email they've given me since day one. Now, this past weekend, both of my POP/STMPs servers fail on and off recently. I can hit the check again a couple of times until it passes or take accounts online to get it fixed. But it would last a hour or so, until it fails again. I thought it had something to hooking up to my smartphone's email account. It wasn't that either. When I checked my password and user name on Monday, I thought I had fixed one issue with another. But when I did live chat yesterday morning, I told them about the issue and they fixed the user name and password. It didn't work. Yesterday afternoon, I was told a whole different story from someone in tech support, when I was transferred over. They said that my email was outdated, and that my account would be closing at some point and don't know when, when Spectrum haven't set up their email address yet. This tech support technician told me to set up another email like at Gmail. After all this time, I've been getting the runaround from them with BS answers. I never gotten any notification via email, snail mail or phone about that issues, even before the merger and afterwards. They also said it doesn't exist or not registered, when it's been active for a couple of years. Needless they say, this person wasn't helpful at all. Last night, I've fired an email to the TWC Headquarters and gave them my official complaint. I told them everything, even including one of the email error messages, and I wanted them to demand answers. Since they were in charge of the merger, I want official notification before my email account would be closed with a heads-up, so I can change my email address promptly to one with Spectrum and not from Gmail. Since TWC is the only cable service provider in my area, I can't switch it. If I dumped TWC for email only, I would say money off my account. So I asked for a discount for my grievance this summer, before I get my bill in my mail real soon. So far, no word from TWC yet. I did contact TWC this morning on the same issue, since I wasn't able to reset my password via phone. And I was told something different. An email outage, since I was the 5th person who called about it. An email outage doesn't last 5 days, when it's more or less 24 hours and not more. So which is is it? Email outage or outdated email? It can't be both. They told me to check later and I did after my doctor's appointment. No dice. I'm still having issues as I speak. For once, I just wanted my email issues resolved with both working servers and this one email address working. If I can change and reset my password, I hope it can fix it to where it was last week before all of this happened. Sorry for my long rant against Spectrum. Please pray for fast answers and quick resolutions ASAP! Have you had any issues with your phone company? And how did you resolve them?

None of my electronics really work that well here. It is a real pain in the you know what. I had a tech out here for the satellite a couple of weeks ago..and I don't think it is working any better than before he came. The dish also blows out in a stiff breeze..so not happy for the money I pay, you would think I would get decent services!

That's just in my opinion that I've been told one thing and another after all this time. Me too, like if it was an email outage, I rather see it than believe, if I don't see that account error symbol on my email account. I know. We'll see happens before 9 AM EST if it had been smoothed out. No word from TWC yet.

@TiarasOceanView Well, the second email problem has been cleared up. I believe it was an 5-day email outage. No errors so far. As for number one, I'm going to wait to hear from my list admin on the sub for Novel-l, since I just sent it out to the list and went through fine. Right now, it's up in the air if it's resolved or not. I hope so.
