We left home right after I posted this morning. We got to our destination, hubby's work, and I made an awful discovery. I discovered that I had left my purse at home. That meant I left my house keys, my driver's license, and my camera at home, as well as other things. I refuse to knowingly drive illegally, without license. So I was stuck. All day at Wal Mart. I could not go to the parks. I could not go to the library. I could not go buy gas for the car. I could not get photos to share. Hubby drove us home. They want him to practice with me in the car. I feel like he is more aggressive now than he used to be, but that could just be my opinion. Pictures tomorrow. This is a free image from online.

I've done that myself, and I'm sure many others have as well. At least your hubby got some driving practice in.

Kind of forced the issue. I am going to go put my purse in the car first today.

I have done that a time or two. I would have driven to someplace interesting and spent time there. They would be able to run your license through using your name, date of birth, etc., if ever you were pulled over. Still proves you are a licensed driver. Not sure if they would issue a warning to you for not carrying the license with you though.

I have seen where a warning is given, then removed when proof is brought in.There is just so much construction going on it is an accident waiting to happen, and I did not feel I wanted to risk it.

@GardenGerty I can't say as I blame ya then. Murphy's Law applies with me lately.

That's for sure. He does need to do some of the driving, though.

Thanks, some think I am silly. I am a rule follower at heart, and drove as a bus driver for many years.

I once left my purse in a restaurant booth in the town where my brother lives, and the waitress came chasing after me.

@GardenGerty We were both lucky that our credit cards weren't stolen.

That would not be a Good feeling. I have left my keys at home before and locked myself out and had to have a neighbor drive me to my husbands work to get them. But at least I do not drive so I am stuck at home unless I feel safe enough to take the Bus and walk down the hill home so lately, I don't get out much.

Leaving your purse home certainly left you a bit stranded. At least hubby is getting better with the driving

I hate when I do things like that. I would have been spending the day wherever I was when I found out I left everything home.

That is what I did and made hubby drive me home at the end of the day. It was really his first driving after his stroke.

We lose our confidence when we realize we don't have licence at hand. Good that your husband chipped in - siva

I hate when that happens. I once went through the check-out at Wal-Mart only to find I had left my purse at home. It never occurred to me as I was tooling around the store taking my wonderful time, checking everything out that I didn't have my purse. It was a good thing I lived close and could get it and get back to the store to get my groceries in a decent amount of time.
