Fresh onion rings taste great / myLot

I like onion rings with a dash of lime, salt and sugar. The onions you get in the US are gigantic in size and I did get an opportunity to taste those onion rings while there. We were taken to an Indian restaurant where onion rings were extras placed on the table. The first thing we did was to grab them. They served as starters. What starters do you like?

I love onions, but usually with something rather than on their own. I do enjoy them raw - or cooked and caramelized! I guess I don't think much about starters . . . I just want to get straight to the meal
