A Quiet Peaceful Evening

The sun is almost down and I'm sitting on my deck enjoying the end of a beautiful day. Rain dribbled down this morning but the afternoon was gorgeous. We've had so much rain lately that sunshine is greatly appreciated.
A little breeze is playing through the trees and air conditioners are humming. The evening is quiet and peaceful. I'm relaxing in my swing and taking pleasure in the summer evening. May you all have peace and rest this evening. We never know what tomorrow will bring.

I wait until about 9p. or 10p to open my window.. The first breezes that I feel are so nice.

You have some beautiful word images for your lovely afternoon on the swing. We had a lot of rain overnight. So much so there were still puddles on the road when I got up this morning. It's nice now with temps in the high 60's and light breeze. Very nice.

@RubyHawk I'm sure we do. Summer is only just starting. I woke to beautiful blue skies, which gave way to clouds and patches of blue, which have now turned gray and look like rain.

I'm jealous. I've always wanted a porch swing. As a kid, i would always go straight to them at kmart in the summer and swing while my mom shopped the aisle near by. Lol.

@RubyHawk no. As the management here that took over a few years ago put nothing but 2 chairs and a small table is allowed on the porch. Not that everyone listens to that, but we dont like to break the rules as we cant afford to lose our home. Plus it cost few hundred..

@Courtlynn Wow, I'm glad our management has no such rules I have a swing, table and chairs on my deck. We can't have grills. That's the only thing forbidden. I wouldn't break any rules either.

@andriaperry Most of our water comes from lake Lanier. At times we don't have enough rain and the lake gets low. After so much rain this spring we shouldn't have a water shortage this year.

About the air conditioners humming: They can put a man on the moon, but we don't have silent air conditioners. Just came to mind when you mentioned the humming here. Guess we will never see that happen, but wouldn't it nice @RubyHawk

We had some pretty nice days recently and this morning I was able to enjoy my coffee out on the deck. It was sunny and peaceful but not too hot.
