This is a nonfiction memoir that I read in two days; it was so good and such a page turner for me. Have you read this?
Essentially, Brierley lives in poverty in a rural India town and has 4 siblings, his dad has left his family, and his mom barely makes ends meet. One day he gets lost on the train, at 5 years old, and this memoir chronicles the months that follow where he tries to find his family, sleeps outside, almost gets kidnapped, forages for food, and more. He eventually gets adopted by an Australian family and then has to assimilate to their culture.
And some twenty years later he is determined to find his biological family and becomes an obsession with him. I wont spoil the ending of course. Such a good one though, I would highly suggest it. Apparentlt theres a movie adaptation out as well.
