I see some of the members have already recommended two of the best places to get information about how to become part of our community. I would suggest reading a lot of discussions by the regulars here, reading through response and comment threads, and adding your own comments when inclined to do so, before you begin posting discussions. In that way, you'll become familiar with what topics and types of discussions are more likely to generate interest. Remember, your main reason for being here should be the social interaction of getting to know folks from all over the world. The monetary incentive is nice, but not the raison d'etre. And, earnings are based on other people reacting to your posts, comments, and responses, not on how many discussions you post.

Read the links provided etc. Mylot is essentially a discussion site where you are paid a little bit of money if what you write is found interesting by other members. You won't get rich here...top earners don't earn much more than a dollar per day and to get that you'd have to spend a lot of time here. That being said a lot of long term members (ten plus years...myself way over 5) find this a place to make friends, talk about various topics and have a bit of fun...the pennies are purely secondary The main thing on here is interaction...if you post a discussion try and get back to people that respond....that is the way to build up friendships and find people you have things in common with. If you do that successfully your bank will grow too
