And the area rug is in as of this morning. One of the two new lamps, as of Monday, is in the photo. I am so done with this room!
Last July is when we began the mind boggling process of redecorating our new family room. We have an old one, too. We had a new, shiny, porcelain tile floor installed, the walls and ceiling painted the same shade, chose furniture and fabrics, lighting, an area rug, and window shades and window fabric treatments. Oh, and a new smart curved TV. We could have purchased another luxury car.
And there hangs the one thing I didn't approve: the painting my husband bought and had shipped home from Florida. And there it will stay until I find one that I approve of.
Your thoughts, please?

Love the rug too it is perfect!
I agree with you on that painting..I love it but not in this room. Clashes a bit to me.
Well I love the whole place and now I can see that chandelier is not pink

Lovely! Like out of a magazine. I like the light and airy color theme and how the pink in the ballet dancer's dress picks up the pink in the room. Sorry to agree with your husband, but I love that print. Now you might need a piece of glass that I enjoy - "Natalie" by Fenton Art Glass

I love everything in it, yes even the painting gives the best contrast.

@DianneN I honestly think the pink in the picture pulls it all together. It looks nice. =)
If it was all just blue then it may be too much but the pink in the picture makes it work.
Of course it's up to y'all though. You have to look at it every day and if you don't like it then change it.

I think its beautiful, but I am with you, the painting does not match.
Why? The room is calm and the paint has a lot of energy., but dont tell him I said that.

It goes perfect with all the other things and the colours of them too.

Thanks so much, Sue. That's actually our family room, which is less formal than our living room. lol I'd love something lighter and more fit for a sunroom, but in a gold frame. I'm going to tell my husband what you said. That will make his day!

I love the room! But I have to agree. Even your husband is so sweet, the painting is out of place. Just my opinion. The painting is great but not really for that room.
