How many hours do you need?

I am really missing my bed right now! I get 8 hours of sleep every night and 12 hours on the weekend. I was told that some people can even function with 5 hours of sleep!! How many hours do you need to feel rested?

To really feel good I need 7 hours of sleep but I have functioned on 3-5 hours before, many times.

It actually depends on my motivational level though. Normal days I get around 8 hours of sleep and few of the days where I feel extra responsible and motivated I capture 6 hours of sleep approx.

Haha I function on 5 quite often. I would prefer more but life gets in the way! I think optimal is around 7 for me

It really depends on the work I do I tend to sleep more if I am tired I mostly sleep for 6-8 hours

I think 7 or 8 hours are enough and good for our health.

I usually sleep from 4 AM to 8 AM and i feel good....

For me it is about 6 hours a night and I feel good, unless I'm sick or my health problems kick up. The last few days they have and I'm always tired. I try for 8 hours then not that I get it most of the time thou.

I'm in the same situation with you and can't imagine people who sleeps for three or four hours a night. But too much sleep also effects my spirit of the next day.
