One week before July 2nd, my network leader explained the One Campaign. As we grow, we need a new place to accommodate the growing members.
They prayed for us and endless praises after the event.
During the huddle, I heard a familiar story of an old and poor widow who gave all she had at the treasury. She had nothing after giving the money she had that time. When I got home, I tried to search the story that is so familiar to me. I heard it many times already but never read the manuscript. I prayed. I asked God to talked me. Am I willing to give what I have on my debit card. I don't have a savings account. But have a small amount, very small that I am saving for my father's birthday on July 11th. We celebrated his birthday on July 8th because most of us won't be home on his birthday. I bought a cake and grilled chicken. Nothing fancy.
On July 1st, I as move along my devotion, I am still praying, asking God what is the plan. I don't know how much to give. I was currently reading book of Mark. I read one chapter per day for my devotion. That day before the big event, I was on chapter 12. I read the chapter verse per verse. Then God talked to me - the story that I was hearing mulitple times appeared on my devotion. It did not sink in right away. When I re-read it to put in my observation, I realized that God had answered my prayers. How much should I give, was answered by Mark 12:41-43.
I know my heart was willing to give the amount I have on my debit card. I gave all of it and said without Your blessings, I wouldn't have this amount on this card. I am giving back the glory and honor to You.
At work, I had one customer escalation that disqualified me to get the targeted bonus points in my scorecard. We disputed it but it was not accepted by the program manager. I wholeheartedly accepted my mistake and moved on and learned from my mistake.
After one week (July 10th) God already responded. He returned the money I offered. Not the exact amount but more than what I gave. See. God is moving. God is like a rushing wind. He is moving. The escalation that we disputed was removed from my scorecard. So I got the bonus score and will be converted as a monetary incentive.
