I know that technically corn is to be considered a starch and not a vegetable, but heck I want some tonight, and it is going to take the place of a veggie with my dinner! I am tired of eating broccoli, lettuce, and other green stuff. Darn it I want some corn! do you make corn your "vegetable" sometimes?

Corn is a vegetable - who told you it isn't? Someone is pulling you leg. Yes, it has starch and it has sugar but it is a veggie!

Oh yes, it is a vegetable, but in terms of diet plans it is considered to be a starch and counted as a starch.

Really? I always think that the corn is a kind of vegetables because you can't eat it raw I like corns. Sometimes I will make it as a soup and sometimes I will bake it. They all taste well.

I see corn as a grain/cereal, but I don't bother adding a portion of vegetables in every meal.

Corn is a grain, but considered a vegetable maybe because it's a plant instead of an animal. What about potatoes, can you eat them even though they're also quite starchy. There are other veggies though, cucumbers, eggplant, tomatoes, carrots, kale, etc. I detest diets.

@snowy22315 Corn + beans = a complete protein! Yahoo! Also, beans are a great source of fiber, which will help make your guts very happy. Bonus!

I always thought that corn is a vegetable, just a starchy one. Potatoes are in the starch family as well but I still consider them as a vegetable. I love corn! I boil it and sprinkle with salt and smother with butter. It's so delicious!!!!!!!!!!!! I prefer corn that's mixed (white and yellow in one cob).

They say the only "healthy" veggies have to be green. They are the yucky ones. I like corn.
