I was completely saddened by the news this morning. His death stunned many people, I being one of them.
I remember Linkin Park was one of the first bands I listened to, I loved and to this day still love their music.
My all time favorite song by them was -Numb-

I woke up to this news, I am very heart broken by it. I may not be a close friend, but Linkin Park helped a lot when I was a kid, so it really hurts. May he rest in peace and best thoughts for his friends and family.

@Hanyouyomi I think it is inconsiderate when people, "Well you didn't know them, so why are you so sad?" That is so rude. Yes, I may not have personally known them but it still hurts just as much, especially when it is through music.

It is sad when a person someone looked up to does such thing, It is never easy, but we will never know what led him to do such thing. but may he rest in peace and may his family find peace in this hard time

I used to listen to Linkin Park a lot back in high school. This was a shot to my teen-hood memories. It's shocking to learn. My favorite Linking Park song are Numb, In The End, Cure For The Itch, Pushing Me Away, Faint, Session. I've got some fun memories tied to those songs among others... And don't even get me started on the various scenes in my novels and comics that I wrote while listening to Linkin Park. The fact that some of Bennington's work is tied to some of my most creative moments and fun memories as a teenager is saddening and aggravating.
It's annoying that those who end their own lives seem to never know the impact they've had on others. It's depressing really.. R.I.P Mr. Bennington, I'll cherish the memories tied to your work. :,)

I liked linkin park years ago, but it doesn't impact me. As I'm not a close family member or friend. But it is sad.

they inspired a lot of my music taste to this day, I was actually just listening to a mixed cd an old friend gave me and it had a few of their songs on it, then I woke up to the news.
